Friday EVENING 23rd June – Pre Rally Briefing

The Superheroes meet in Kent

Pre- Rally Briefing in Kent.  Time here for introductions, where all the Fireball Rally Drivers and Navigators from around Britain meet each other and are issued with their Car Decals.  This will be the first rally for some, so an overall briefing of  the Rally will be given in the Bar, including more detailed information on tomorrows leg of the rally.  For ease, this Rally is based on GPS navigation which is ideal for Garmin and TomTom SatNav’s.   Sat Nav coordinates will be explained along with more information on setting your Sat Navs for the assault on Europe as not every mountain has a post code.  As we’re in the bar area, we’ll all enjoy a couple of quizzes for teams to check their knowledge on continental driving……. and what you don’t know, you’ll find out here.  The excitement and anticipation of a great adventure begins along with meeting fellow adventurers who will become your good friends.

The Rally begins on Saturday 24th at the very moment your car tyres hit the French tarmac.

Day 1… Sat 24th June

We begin our Rally from Calais and head towards Bordeaux .  Wisely planning your route on the Fireball Rally could include the ‘Let them eat Cake’ Palace of Versailles,

and there’s also a plethora of WWI & WWII sites to be in awe of including a VII Rocket construction factory and Trench & Tunnel systems you can still go down to appreciate how troops were moved to the front line without the enemy knowing.  All these places and co-ordinates will be given to you at the Pre-Rally Briefing.

VII Rocket Site

First Stop:  The evening will be full of laughter and camaraderie, probably the very best time of day as you swap stories of your adventure so far.  Sat Nav coordinates for the next day will be issued and teams discuss their options with a drink in their hands, with such a buzz of anticipation.

Day 2 …….Sun 25th June

Chamonix – The Beautiful Skiing Village.

The Famous Mont Blanc Tunnel

which was blasted through this iconic mountain in the 1950’s.

Mont Blanc

We leave France via the World famous Mont Blanc tunnel to meet the friendliest people on Earth in Italy.  Before you leave, you might choose to navigate through the stunning skiing village of Chamonix  before driving through the legendary Mont Blanc Tunnel.  The Italian weather greets you like an old friend hugging you as you approach the legendary scenes of:

The Italian Job

Day 3 …… Mon 26th June

You’re only supposed to blow the bloody doors off

The greatest Crime Caper of the 20th Century when Charlie Croker assembles his crack team of villains to rob the Italians of much more than the World Cup.  You really need to watch this film before going on this Rally as you witness the Red, White & Blue Mini Coopers nab the cash.  You can see the very places they escaped to with the Gold Bullion as they drove through the very luxurious Shopping Mall, drove up onto the Triangular roof and drove across the river without being washed away. Many more hilarious antics and locations from this iconic film are on this Rally and just a few are shown below.  Just see how amazing we were in the 60’s and 70’s when Great Train robbers like Ronnie Biggs were considered the celebrities of the day.

From the very first Meeting with the Mafia

The Heist

The Getaway

and the unknown !!

Turin … a Chocolate Love Affair

The love affair between Turin and chocolate has lasted for almost five centuries, firmly establishing the city as the “capital of chocolate” and the ‘Chocolate District’ is in Via Carlo Alberto.  If you love Chocolate, this is the place to go and of course, if you want to make friends and relatives happy, just take home a sweet souvenir.

Day 4 ….. Tues 27th June

There’s till time for ‘last minute’ jaunts to enjoy Charlie Crocker’s Italian Job and the three Red, White & Blue Mini Coopers adventure, or you might prefer to relax like these Fireballers, enjoying the Sun in anticipation of a magnificent Pizza, but ultimately, we head for more adventure over the border.

There are many people who want to go on a challenging adventure but never do, but YOU are taking part in the Fireball Rally that is crammed with so much Adventure.  It’s here on our last day together that the Trophies and Certificates are given out.  All this whilst you are also raising funds for YOUR favourite charity and having the best time ever.  You’ve become a Fireballer, done so much in 5 days and made friends with other Fireballers ……. just Awesome.

d) The Best Photo or Video taken and posted onto Facebook during the Rally.

d) The Most Money Raised for their chosen CHARITY – This takes real dedication.
